18 people died from accident along Abuja-Lokoja road


 

About eighteen (18) lives has been reported to be lost in the accident that occurred along Abuja-Lokoja road in the early hours of yesterday (20th November, 2015) while others sustained injuries.

The driver was trying to make a U-turn when the bus accidentally plunged into a ditch leaving 18 people dead and some injured out of about 86 passengers.

It was also reported that the bus with registration number Lagos XT 286 LSD belonging to a popular transport company, First Tarzan," Mr. Ugboma and the driver must have entered an ambush laid by armed robbers unknowingly thereby causing the accident.

The Kogi State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, Mr. Ogochukwu Ugboma, who confirmed the tragic news disclosed that sixteen men and two women died in the accident while others, including a female child, sustained injuries.
